Ask AI about your clothes — 27 prompts for the wardrobe you already have

ZIP · 16 KB · free

What you get

Twenty-seven copy-paste prompts for the everyday questions about clothes: what to do about a stain, whether a repair is worth it, how to read a fabric before you buy, how to sell or donate well, what to pack, and what a label or a claim actually says — and what it does not. Every prompt asks about the fabric and the label first, works only from what you paste, and never concludes a piece is sustainable, ethical or good value without evidence. A thin skill sets the same rules for any question you ask in your own words. Runs in Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini and Claude Code.

Use it for

  • Get step-by-step stain, wash and storage advice based on the fabric and the label
  • Decide whether a repair is worth it and brief a tailor or cobbler
  • Read fabric, fit and durability signals in a listing before buying
  • Sell, donate, pack or build a capsule from what you already own
  • Turn a sustainability claim or badge into the questions that would test it

Preview — one prompt from the kit

This {{item}} carries this claim: {{claim}}. Full wording of the page or tag: {{listing}}. Do not tell me whether the claim is true. Instead, list the questions the claim leaves open (what exactly is measured, which part of the garment, who verified it, over what period, compared with what) and the evidence that would answer each — a named certificate, a published method, a supplier or factory list, a test result. Then tell me which of those the text I pasted actually provides and which it does not.
